Lightning Path Statement of Beliefs
The Lightning Path (LP) is dedicated to fostering health, healing, and reconnection in individuals and communities. At its core, the LP seeks to address the damage caused by Toxic Socialization and guide humanity toward its full creative and human potential. This mission is grounded in a deep commitment to ethics, truth, and the creation of environments that nurture well-being and alignment. The LP’s teachings are informed by both modern scientific insights, traditional systems of knowledge when appropriate, and the knowledge and insights that come from consistent and persistent Connection Practice. In development for over two decades, the LP offers a comprehensive framework for transformation.
The LP Statement of Beliefs encapsulates the foundational values and perspectives that drive this mission. It serves as a guidepost for understanding the systemic challenges humanity faces today, such as the exploitation perpetuated by the current Regime of Accumulation, and the steps needed to address these challenges. This statement underscores the urgency of replacing harmful systems with paradigms rooted in health, equity, and sustainability, while highlighting the LP’s role in facilitating this transformation. By aligning with these beliefs, we take a collective step toward healing ourselves, our communities, and our planet.
The Statement
We believe that health is a state of complete physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being and is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.1
We believe that humans are typically born physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually healthy and that they only need proper care and support in order to develop into their full human and creative potential.
We believe that proper care and support involves creating environments capable of meeting all Seven Essential Needs.
We believe the current globalized Regime of Accumulation (a.k.a. The System) is designed to enrich a few while exploiting and impoverishing the many.
We believe that the beneficiaries of this system, the Accumulating Class, create and enable a system of Toxic Socialization that, in order to create complaint and easy to control workers, intentionally damages the body and mind through neglect of the Seven Essential Needs.
We believe that the current economic system depends, for its motive force, on addiction to money. We believe that this addiction is out of control.2
We believe that this out-of-control addiction, coupled with the incredible power of modern administrative, economic, and productive systems, has enabled unprecedented exploitation of this plant (and the life forms that inhabit it) and unparalleled destruction of the natural world.
We believe that the planet and its people are nearing the brink of complete and total ecological, societal, and individual collapse.
We believe that in order to save humanity and this planet from the debacle that will ensue should we not alter course, current paradigms need to be immediately replaced with new and more advanced paradigms and current economic, educational, political, and social institutions need to be rapidly transformed or replaced.
We believe that a progressive, decentralized, semi-autonomous educational system built on the Pathfinder Educational ModelTM is a key element in the rapid propagation of new paradigms.
